Carole undertook a complete redesign of my garden, coming up with a plan that reflected both my own ideas of what I wanted, along with Carole’s valuable suggestions of different plants, shrubs and trees that would work well in the location. The result is a transformation, with a garden that is now very attractive to look at and use, set in an elegant structure reflecting the different heights and forms of the plants, shrubs and trees. It is now also less maintenance, which is an added bonus. Communication with Carole was easy during the design and installation phases and I am delighted with the results that she has come up with. I asked Carole to suggest the best way to modernise and revitalise a sad and neglected border. A decision was reached after discussions around what the general look of the planting scheme would be. Carole has been my ‘garden saviour’ as well as The Garden Angel! I knew what look I wanted in our sadly neglected garden, with it’s lawn long past it and flower beds that had been neglected, but I had no idea how to go about it. The steep, narrow lie of the garden also complicated matters for me. I invited Carole to design the garden and trusted her judgements and choices of plants and placement, but she also took the time to describe the plants and why each was a good fit for the chosen space. She used the existing structures in the garden to good effect, she respects my wishes in incorporating some older plants that I was particularly attached to, but gently suggested some big changes too. The result, an amazing garden that will provide colour all year, that is a beautiful balance between my description of ‘a little wild but still orderly enough’ and somewhere we all love to be. The change has really enhanced our house as we look out over the garden as it welcomes us home. Thank you Carole!
